Tis’ the October Season

My mom used to say “There’s not enough time in the day!” I thought she was crazy as a child because I remember being bored felt like suicide and all I wanted was the day to end! Now as a cluttered, forgetful, misplaced mind, I know condone her theory. Seriously, a moment of silence for those hours wasted in a 24 hour day. Now onto living..

Grey is now 5 months young and wrinkle-free! Minus the ones on his baby bottom! I love him to pieces and everyday he does something new! Like gags when I feed him peas, grabs the spoon frantically like i’m going to run away and eat his baby food (yum?), wipes his own mouth, eats tissue, brushes his teeth (kinda), hates Orajel (he feels like apart of him is missing..its just numb sweetie..), poops all over his car seat, goes cross-eyed, screams during quiet moments, farts louder than his dad, watches football (he’s too mature for playhouse Disney), dresses up in girl accessories, reaches for my dessert, hits piñatas, tells me stories in “baby coo’s”, scoots all around his crib, and is balding in awkward spots on his scalp. I love this little man!

Anthony is still a stud and is loosening up about my shopping habits! Can I getta WOHO-RAH! I love the season because it brings families closer together and this is the first year where I have my own family! I love all the activities we have lined up and it’s true that spending time with family makes you happier! I can’t wait to spend the seasons with the new addition to our family and make great memories!

Fashion Fix

Only 10% of my spouse is PRO-clothing/accessories/shoes. This statistic provides me with a piece of clothing only on special holidays..in the month of December… Yes this is the part where you feel sorry for a shopping addict. I can’t explain my love for clothing, styling, and bargain shopping! I love the warm fuzzy feeling you get slipping into complementary jeans, a flowing lace top, snug pumps and a bracelet that makes your wrist look like a million bucks. Especially when they get along so well when placed into a 9-5p.m outfit. I love learning new trends and getting enough huevos to wear something daring and bold. Everyone has there passion, and mine just so happens to be getting dressed every morning and appreciating the styles I see all around me.

Now time for my current crème craving:

Late night laughs

We took Grey to the E.R. due to my worry-wart-early-motherhood senses and his long-lasting-heart-breaking cries! (which never happen, so yes i was concerned!!) He had been crying for at least an hour so we decide to take him in. & of course as soon as we walk into the door, he stops. So now I look ridiculous taking a perfectly normal baby into the E.R. Honestly I think he just wanted some extra attention and nurses and doctors all scattered around in concern probably sounded like a party to him. So at least he got his attention fix. Well we sign him in anways just to make sure everything was ok. We go back and the doctor is asking his usual questions…birth weight, diet, abnormal behavoirs..etc. Then he asks “Was he circumsized?” Grey answers..”OW!” Gotta love the baby coo’s! He then proceeded to tell the doctor “I POOP!” I swear he said it! He is becoming so articulate being at his 3month mark in life.

60 day trial..i love it & i’m buyin’!

Grey is 2 months! These past 2 months he has grown so much and has become so alert to his surroundings! He loves to have staring contests with everything, even the lamps! He has big dark blue eyes right now, they resemble his Grandma Shannon’s. & we’re hoping his eyes will stay! He has the loudest farts and makes the cutest faces when he’s leaving a present for mom and dad in his Huggies…He loves to wail his arms and raise his arms like he has a question. His legs are so strong he can stand up..with my help of course! He loves his binky! He can take a bottle and he loves to eat his hands when he’s hungry! He loves putting his hands on his face! He’s not very fussy but when he is we know he’s HUNGRY! He wakes up once or twice during the night and loves mom and dads bed! Which I don’t mind snuggling ;) He smiles! & my goodness he’s so handsome when he does! I’m in love, i’m in love!

I’m dreamin’ of a (WHITE?) summer…

Ok not fair! This is by far the whitest skin I've had in all my summers of living! This will happen to you mammas out there! Having a newborn in this AZ heat is almost bad parenting! Grey is just not a fan of anything “ARIZONA” Daddy put his feet in the water..nope he was not havin’ it! & even being outside for 10 minutes Grey has tacos underneath his arm pits! Ok its not that bad..but its HOT! So I can handle the heat, being a native n’ all. So I sure love the tan lines! But i’m not seeing any this year..Hopefully I can still check the “hispanic” box and be taken seriously when I say my name is Caitlin GARCIA.

The Garcia’s: EXPOSED.

Well in my little world big things are happening!

Greyson Garcia has arrived! May 14, 2011 is hands down, the best day of my life thus far (tying in with the big day of becoming a Garcia) We welcomed into this world a  6lb 2 oz sweet baby boy who immediately sent me in tears outpouring of my tenderized heart. No one can ever explain to you in full depths what it’s like becoming a mother. There were no complications in delivery. His first sighting of this world was at 10:28 am after only 20 minutes of pushing. The first weeks after his birth were life altering and me and the hubby were overwhelmingly in love with our offspring! Grey will be 2 months old on Thursday and is such a handsome baby. Seriously, he’s a GQ baby. I love to flirt with him and make him smile and I love his coo’s and baby language. I feel like we have a very open communication lately, no closed doors or anything!

Anthony had an interview with Fedex and we’re praying for a job! He’s been working so hard at this dad and husband thing and I must say, I never thought I could love him even more, but it’s possible my friends..very possible. I’m so grateful to have someone like him right by my side in this crazy life. For one: he’s so handsome AND he makes me laugh. I got a great deal!

We both will be doing school in the Fall. Me working towards my business degree and him getting his EMT and working towards a Fire Science Degree. We both are going to work part-time and save up for a house to call our own! I feel so grateful to have the blessing of a family of my own. This is truly what life’s all about!

Our first debut in the Blog World!

I've never had a blog! But since i'm about to have a little family of my own I am compelled to jump on the bandwagon of bloggers! My mom has a blog (which I think has gone M.I.A) and she was always writing the funnies of our family and I love going back to read them! So i'll do Grey and Anthony a huge favor and write down the funnies of our fam so they can look back and read how funny I was (ha jk!)! Anthony knows i'm great at journal writing, he's seen my collection of 50 diaries! What! I have a lot of feelings ;) So i'm thinkin' this blogging experience will be so much fun! And overwhelming for all of you with all my posts! But I might have to forewarn you, we'll be expecting Greyson Samuel Wilkins Garcia on June 4th (so I might be the one who is M.I.A for a while)! Here's how it all got started..

Anthony and I were both born in Phoenix, AZ in 1992, but i'm 3 months older (and I never let him forget it). He goes to Mesa High School and graduates in May 2011 and I graduated from Higley in 2010. My senior year his best friend Matt (who was dating my best friend Faith) suggested that I meet this kid Anthony who's "brown" and "athletic".. literally that's the description i got. But hey, sounded good to me! Matt invited me and Faith and a bunch of our friends to his house for his buddies birthday party and Anthony was going to be there! Omg you better believe i went shopping that day for a new outfit! So we met in September 2009. But it wasn't love at first sight. We we're both dating other people and never really made the effort to talk again. How sad right!? But then December rolled around. He came to a Higley basketball game and I was still dating this guy but i saw him leaning up against the bleachers in his Mesa High Letterman's jacket, and woo-wee. He was dang cute! A few days later Anthony texts me and says "hey gorgious"... yes spelt this exact way. I never texted back. I was trying to make him feel bad for his lack of "spell check" (JK) We then set up a double date with our best friends and we went to taco bell and shared a root beer (he stole my heart right then, i love rb) and we went and saw the Blind Side. After our date was over as we were saying our goodbyes he shoots me with the question "Will you go to Winter Formal with me?" Omg melt my heart! I had to say yes! He asked me to be his girlfriend on February 19, 2010, well he told me to circle yes or no! I went to his basketball game one ordinary Friday and i was hand delivered a note from Anthony by one of his friends. In this note he asked me to be his girlfriend and told me to circle yes or no. I asked him for a pen after the game, and of course i circled YES! And ever since our first date we've literally been inseparable!
